Dr Steven Shorrock isa Chartered Psychologist and Chartered Ergonomist and Human Factors Specialist, with experience in aviation, rail, onshore process industries, healthcare and government administration, as well as academia.
He works with stakeholders at all levels throughout Europe, including air traffic controllers and pilots, engineers, safety specialists, middle and senior management, and the judiciary.
He is currently a Senior Human Factors and Safety Specialist at EUROCONTROL, where he is also Editor-in-Chief of HindSight magazine (bit.ly/HindSightMagazine).
He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at University of the Sunshine Coast (Centre for Human Factors & Sociotechnical Systems), and Honorary Clinical Tutor at the University of Edinburgh.
In a private capacity, he blogs at Humanistic Systems and co-edited Human Factors and Ergonomics in Practice (CRC Press)
He has a particular interest in public and inter-professional communication about human and organisational factors affecting performance and wellbeing.
